Soup Kitchen
Our team of volunteer chefs (all have food hygiene certificates) make more than 11,000 home-cooked hot meals each year for those guests who drop into our Monday and Thursday evening sessions.
Many, but not all, are sleeping rough on the streets, sofa surfing or are in temporary accommodation with limited cooking facilities. There is a covered, heated area for dining.
Thanks to our corporate supporters, guests can also choose a range of fresh and chilled food, sandwiches, and bread to take away. Toiletries, warm clothing, and sleeping bags are also available. There are washing facilities on-site: Guests say it is amazing what a difference a shower and a fresh change of clothing can make to their mental well-being.
Guests who are concerned about their physical, mental, or sexual health can talk to healthcare and addiction specialists who visit The One Love Project site. Advice sessions are held in our new, comfortable, and secure counselling suite.
When: Every Monday and Thursday. 6.30pm-8pm (adults only).
