Meet The Team
The One Love Team
Our trustees and small team of staff all started out as One Love volunteers and brought a range of experiences to the charity.
Our trustees decide the charity’s strategic aims, supported by our staff and volunteers who are involved in the day-to-day running of the service.
Jessica Ellis
Sharon Yavuz
Director of Corporate Governance at Ethos Communication Solutions Ltd, a privately owned company specialising in managed print services and office communications. Sharon has experience in leadership, finance, communications, operations and logistics.
On her first shift as a volunteer at One Love, she distributed refreshments to guests on a bitterly cold December night in 2020 and was impressed that “whoever came through the door, whatever they were wearing, whatever they said, they were welcomed and treated the same.”
James
James has been working in the homeless sector since 2020. In August 2023, James took a role at Southend City Council as a Rough Sleeper Navigator. Before this, from 2020, he worked at HARP in various roles.
James used to attend The One Love Project in a professional capacity. James said he was blown away by the sense of community offered at The One Love Project and wanted to help to develop services further.
James is very keen to offer his skills and knowledge further in his position of trustee. He has taken on the additional role of Safeguarding Lead.
Hollie Wells
Hollie has over ten years of experience establishing and managing national and international charity partnerships as a Corporate Partnerships Manager. Volunteering with The One Love Project for over three and a half years, including two as a trustee, Hollie wanted to do more to support our service users and has recently taken the post of CEO.
